Marlo Obera, Esq. is a Texas-licensed attorney, insurance professional, and community leader dedicated to helping individuals and families protect their legacies, navigate legal challenges, and build long-term financial security with integrity and purpose. Licensed since 2015, Marlo brings a unique combination of courtroom experience, public service, and strategic planning to every client relationship.
A graduate of Western Michigan Cooley Law School, Marlo began his legal career as a City and Community Prosecutor for the City of Dallas, where he represented the City in municipal and community court matters, worked closely with law enforcement and community stakeholders, and handled a high volume of cases involving public safety, code enforcement, and regulatory compliance. He later served as a Dallas County Public Defender, advocating for clients across a wide range of criminal cases and sharpening his litigation and trial skills. His commitment to civic leadership also includes service as a former Princeton City Council Member and as a former member of the Board of Directors for the North Texas Municipal Water District.
In addition to his legal practice, Marlo is a licensed insurance agent, allowing him to provide integrated legal and financial solutions in areas such as estate planning, asset protection, life insurance, and wealth-building strategies. This dual-licensure model enables clients to receive coordinated guidance that aligns their legal structures with their financial goals.
Marlo is a proud Army veteran, bringing discipline, integrity, and mission-focused service to his professional life. He is also a devoted husband and father of seven, and his personal experience as a family man deeply informs his passion for family law, estate planning, and generational planning.
